Minimum Requirements
The following describes the minimum requirements necessary for the productive operation of a typical project. We are happy to advise and support you with any questions you may have before the project begins.
Server Requirements
Websites and web applications are typically developed for Linux-based web servers (Apache or Nginx). Other systems, especially IIS (Microsoft), may require additional costs. This also applies to outdated versions of the server configurations described below.
- PHP Version 8.3
- MySQL Version 8.4 or MariaDB 11.1
- Available Storage Space: 10 GB*
The server must also allow changes to .htaccess and PHP settings or php.ini, and must allow SSH access.
*May vary depending on the scope of the project.
WordPress
Each project is optimized for the current WordPress version at the time of project initiation and is generally upward compatible. According to the warranty policy described below, no liability is assumed for errors in older and/or newer versions or third-party solutions used.
Security / SSL
To ensure modern security standards, every project must have a valid SSL certificate and be operating using the HTTPS protocol. The server must provide a corresponding certificate. We are happy to advise and support you with any questions you may have, even before the project begins.
Deadlines
Deadlines are set at the beginning of the project and are binding for both parties. This applies to the delivery of the project and individual sprints, as well as the delivery of files, texts, and images. A delay in an agreed deadline will inevitably lead to delays in all subsequent deadlines.
Browser support / mobile compatibility
The project’s layouts and designs are generally responsive (adapted to screen sizes) and aligned with common breakpoints. Browser optimization is limited to web browsers used by at least 1% of users in Switzerland, according to the GlobalStats website. For mobile devices, the statistics for iOS and Android serve as the basis. Versions to be considered beyond these limits must be defined before work begins. Errors may occur with unsupported versions.
Training / Handover / Project Completion
The training—or, if no training is provided, the invoicing—is generally considered project completion. If necessary, the client may request documentation outlining the administration and maintenance of the project, enabling them to manage the project independently. Depending on the project, additional costs may be incurred for preparing detailed documentation.
A maintenance contract can be agreed upon request. Even without a maintenance contract, support questions (excluding development, concept work, or editorial work) will be answered free of charge for up to one month after handover.
Warranty
Errors that occur in the versions of the server, WordPress, plugins, or themes in use at the time of project acceptance will be fixed free of charge within three months. However, we do not guarantee compatibility with future or outdated software versions—including, but not limited to, WordPress or the server. We also do not guarantee compatibility with issues caused by hosting environments, network problems (e.g., DNS), or third-party solutions. The responsibility for resolving such issues generally lies with the respective provider.
Late payment and deactivation
If the customer defaults on payment of an invoice for development or programming services by more than 60 days after the due date, Say Hello is entitled, after prior written notice, to temporarily deactivate or permanently remove the technology provided as part of the implemented solution (including, but not limited to, software modules, interfaces, plugins, or similar components) until all outstanding amounts, including default interest and any collection costs, have been paid in full. This measure does not constitute termination of the contract and does not release the customer from the obligation to pay.
Right of amendment
Say Hello reserves the right to modify its Terms and Conditions at any time to ensure their relevance and accuracy for clients and projects, taking into account the needs and requirements of existing clients.
