In my first year at Say Hello, I was brought on-board as an independent technical consultant by a web agency in Zurich to work on a small number of more challenging projects. Later, when the agency changed direction, I took over the management of some of their clients – including the high profile Swiss Post media portal.
While most of Swiss Post’s websites operate in a centralised infrastructure, a separate solution was chosen for this project, which Swiss Post uses to publish press releases and blog posts. This ensured an independent communication channel in an independent infrastructure even in a worst-case scenario.
Since taking over the website, I have been responsible for the maintenance and operation of the WordPress website and I ensure availability, speed and security through a detailed, customised service level agreement with the client and an international WordPress hosting provider. The website has remained online without interruption under my management and I make minor technical adjustments and compatibility updates to the customised WordPress theme on an ongoing basis.
