Say Hello has been supporting our client Edorex AG since 2018, when we had the opportunity to realise their corporate website. One of Edorex’s offerings is Denkbar – a meeting and collaboration space in Bern’s old town where clients and colleagues come together to develop new ideas and detailed project concepts.
The WordPress Block Editor was introduced at the end of 2018. Say Hello started using it for client projects in early 2019, but it wasn’t quite ready for more complex layouts. Thanks to the continuous development by the WordPress community and our own endeavours to always stay up to date, we were able to adapt the editor so that more sophisticated layouts became possible. One of the first projects in this new form was the microsite for Denkbar, based on a design that Edorex had created using the Figma collaboration tool.
Why a microsite?
The integration of the Block Editor for certain views into the main edorex.ch website gave a flavour of the possibilities, but the time had not yet come for a comprehensive redesign of the main website. In addition, Denkbar remained an independent project, which is why a customised design – based on a mixture of CI/CD and unique content – made more sense. This provided interested parties with targeted information about the collaboration space, and Edorex benefitted from a site-specific, independent presence.
Ongoing expansion
Every website benefits from occasional enhancements – and Denkbar was no exception. After the initial implementation in 2020, we were able to revise the code and technical basis of the website in 2022, extending the editorial options and adding subtle animations.
The client decided to redesign and migrate the microsite to a different website building solution at the end of 2025, when their marketing team took over the maintenance of the website.
