Going all-in on the WordPress Site Editor

Since 2024

Building a new website for Bern software company Edorex and implementing custom code for striking page animations.

Going all-in on the WordPress Site Editor

Say Hello has been supporting Edorex, a software company in Bern working on large-scale development projects, for several years with their own websites. Alongside working on and progressively extending the original version of their main website since 2019, I have also built and worked on additional microsites for them, each of which targeted a specific business area; for example, the meeting and collaboration space Denkbar.

After building and running the main website for a few years, Edorex wanted Say Hello to provide them with more freedom to create and manage their content, and to have more access to the graphical opportunities which the WordPress Block and Site Editors provide.

After a trial period of around a year, during which Edorex got to evaluate the WordPress Editors with continual real-world experience within extended functionality on the older version of the website, members of their design team worked on new company branding and the concept for a new website in Figma, which I was able to take on and build for release at the end of 2024.

Alongside a strong typographic identity and a number of custom content elements built specifically for the new site, I was also able to work closely with an animation designer at Edorex to implement her vision for motion graphics on a number of content pages using a solution for Lottie, which I coded specifically for the site.
